Dungeons and Dragons online is free now.  And while its probably not the best MMO on the block, it really can't be beat for FREE!

They've added alot of stuff since the first time we played back in 2006.  Your guild can actually get levels now and get nifty stuff to go wtih it.

If any of the old crew would like to join good ol Gottor again I'd love to see ya!  Heck, I'm sure there are plenty of new guys at GG who might join us.  I'll even buy you some good gear!

I'm on the Argonessen server.  And the Angry Mob guild is still up and running.

That game was really fun, and sucked my soul out better than WoW even. I'll be rooting for the Angry Mob from afar! :)

I just spent forever download the program (aka overnight).  Now I have to decide what to play as.  You have the typical stuff like human, dwarves, sorcerer, cleric etc... then if you want to invest a bit of moeny into the game you can purchase races like drow or certain character classes, like monk and favored soul and to buy equipment for your charcter.

Is it worth it to buy equipment for your character or can you find that stuff in game either as treasure or using gold collected in game to purchase it from in game shops?  I haven't been able to go over the rules yet so I assume you can collect in game money and items, because what kind of D&D game would it be without treasure and magic items?

There are a few items that you can only get in the DDO store that are very cool, but for the most part you can play and even excel without buying them.

And just for the record, anyone who joins the Angry Mob (our guild), I'll personally GIVE them all sorts of goodies and cash.  I have pretty much every item I need for my characters, so its not like I need to save my gold.
