The champion was playing Guard!

He had an interesting list. Common wisdom is that vets aren't worth the points, but this guy fielded not one, not two, but THREE squads of veterans. He also had two squads of vanilla guard that he says just sit inside the Vendetta Gunships so that they can be scoring units.

The championship put him against two rounds of chaos and one round of Space Wolves. That's the other thing I find interesting. It seemed like a lot of people were talking about Blood Angels being the army to beat this year and they don't even appear here.
