New England Team Tournament
Below is the link to information on the event. Would anyone be interested in attending this event, perhaps as a store team? Players can also go as solos as there are still prizes for individual players.
Mark and I would definitely be up for this.
I'd be down to support GG.
The added benefit being that I'd kick the behinds of the guys I used to play with!
I just regestered for the event, it asked for a team name so I put in The Greenfield Griffons. I don't know how many people are actually going to the event but they have a limited number of slots so signing up early would probably be a good idea.
Charlie and I are now registered to attend the Team tournament down in CT.
We gonna kick some bootay!
This is it! Time to win one for the GG!
Well I had a good time at the event even though it was around 150 degrees in the building. I will have to try that again next year.
Yeah, some great times. Met some awesome people too.
I wish I could say we did better for GG...we need to get more practice in.
But man, some of our games were close as heck. My very first game against Norbert was a dead tie...which is almost impossible in Steamroller 2010. Somehow a focus got moved off my jack and onto another so when I made my assassination run, I didn't have enough to finish him off. Plus he only had literally seconds left when time was called (or he would have run out of personal time and lost the game). And If I had one more turn, Irusk would have been a dead man.
My second game against Jake was just silly. I had a wall of metal he just wasn't able to break through, and my Daughters were all over eHaley like white on rice. He threw pretty much his entire army at four models: Two of my daughters, and two of his OWN guys in order to get Haley out of there. Haley was able to get close enough to cast Telekinesis to lift his jack over my wall into charge range with eKreoss. And the worst part is, I whiffed on TWO attacks against that jack. I only needed 6s to hit, and I missed two shots. Had i connected with just one of those, the assassination run never would have happened, and eHaley would have been dead next turn when I popped my feat.
HEY TIM! eHALEY IS FREAKING NASTY! I can't say broken, but she is close. You need to get some games in with her...wow!
Mark lost one game by a mere two points! It was a tie game, and they had to count army points to break the tie. Ironically, Mark's army was only 33 points since there is only ONE 2 point Rhulic model that he could take and he doesn't have it. Had he taken it (and I'd refuse to take it just on principle) he would have won that game.
And yeah, according to the thermometer it was 88F in that room. It was actually cooler OUTSIDE! Wow, what an event. We'll put on a better showing next year!
By the way...I think you guys need to see these:

Nice...

Represent!
Oh yes. And you'd better bet we're planning for next year as well.

yeah, I can't say for sure that it would work with my future shedule but I would be interested in possibly attending, I definitely need to get some practice games in first though because I am still super rusty. we will see how I do in the tournament on the 18th and we can talk more about it then.
It is very dark... You are likely to be eaten by a Grue.
