Next tournament: April 23rd, Modified Deathrace! [15 point Mangled Metal/Tooth and Claw] (Plus apologies)
Ok folks, sorry I've been so late with details. Lets just say I've been pretty much out of commission for a while and only today am I feeling good enough to work on this. Again, I apologize.
I'm hoping to encourage some of our lesser seen players, so we're doing a modified Deathrace.
Deathrace is fast, yet simple. Each player gets a clock with a fixed amount of time on it. When it is your turn, you're time is running down. If your time runs out, you lose. The scenario is a standard Killbox scenario (found in Steamroller 2011...caster assassination in a confined space).
Normally, Deathrace uses any 25 point list and 26 minutes. But in this case, we're going to try something different:
15 point Mangled Metal/Tooth and Claw lists (A caster/lock + jacks/beasts only), and each player will have only 20 minutes.
Entry fee is NOTHING. Thats right...I'm making this one free.
Prizes? Won't be huge, but yes, we'll have a prize or two. I'll take care of it. I'm thinking perhaps a blisterpack.
So you hear that you Warmachine/Hordes lurkers? There is NO REASON you can't join us this time. Whatsamatter? You scared? Be there or be a gobber!
Don't have an army to play yet, but want to join in? Let me know. I can make a loaner army for this, and I'm sure there are other players who'd be willing to do so as well.
Hmmmm....can you not normally make saturdays?
It is mandatory that all store managers have to work on Saturdays and the shifts are 9 1/2 hours long, I would not get to Greenfield til around 5:30/6 way after any tournament would start.
Perhaps I will be able to make it to the next one.
Original post has been modified with details.
My apologies for being so late on this...
4 more days! 4 more days! 4 more days!....
Ok...tomorrow is the day folks!
Looks like we have a good number of people coming, so we should have a decent turnout.

April 23rd is a Saturday and if that is the case I will not be able to attend.
