Are they making a mini paperback version again?  I'm really not sure i need 300 pages of fluff.

I believe so, but don't expect to see it this summer:

The Island of Blood is the new boxed game for Warhammer and is released this September. Packed full of stunning plastic Citadel miniatures and containing all the rules, dice and templates you'll need to play, it's the essential purchase for fans of the Warhammer hobby. Meanwhile, if you like the Battle for Skull Pass boxed game (and who wouldn't with all those Goblins and Dwarfs Dwarfs) then it only seems fair to point out that once the last few remaining copies are they're gone, and they're never coming back! Pick one up while they last.

BTW - The armies for that set are High Elves and Skaven.

We have a copy of this in the store now so folks can take a look at it.

I have to say, that looking it over has really reinvigorated my interesting in Warhammer. They've done a number of things that really spice the game up and add character. Like "Mysterious" terrain features.

Mysterious terrain is terrain that you roll for once you enter it. Forests are Mysterious, for example. Blood forests may cause you damage when you cast spells from them, or wander away from you randomly leaving you expose. Fungal forests make you stupid (and Goblins stubborn). Each terrain type gets a little suggestion of other "special" types of terrain to add spice to your game. Really cool stuff.

I'm looking forward to giving the new rules a test-drive.
