While painting a mini how can one make a water effect for a base? such as a mini standing in water, near water, etc. i hear the substance that can achieve this look is referred to as a "resin cap" but i have tried googling the name several times but have gotten nothing, just thought i would ask. thanks

Come to the store, I'm fairly certain they carry it...or a product much like it.

We do have a couple items that create that sort of effect. All of our are one-step materials that have more limited use but are much easier (and less toxic) to use than some of the two-part resins and melting plastic techniques.

Ok, Thanks alot, i wanted to pull off some bases that were inspired by the video game Doom, oh, one more question is there anything against using those pre-made base decorations for the painting contest? actually i think the store carries some, they are in the back on the rotating self...thingys

On the contrary, we highly encourage using the sculpted bases any time, certainly for the painting contest, or making your own, either way.

A complementary base is often the difference between first and second when I'm voting.
