Say Goodbye to Heroscape -

Hasbro’ Wizards of the Coast division has pulled the plug on Heroscape. They will instead “focus our business efforts on our core brands” aka Magic and D&D.

The last expansion for Heroscape, Moltenclaw’s Invasion, is scheduled for release later this month.

Oh geez! That's a good product.

Too bad such a huge company can only manage to focus on two products long term.

Can't they just create a couple evergreen versions of it and sell it slowly for years. Or maybe the licensing fee for "civil war lizardman" was just too much! :(

I know. I figured since we did pretty well with it that other stores must be doing equally well - which would mean it should be worth it for Wizards to continue supporting.

That's a bummer. It just goes to show that we're not representative of the greater game store population, though. Heck, MonsterPocalypse is doing well in other places, yet we lost our tournament presence very quickly. Guess we're the Canada of the game stores. Friendly and welcoming, but a bit backwards on trends.

Favorite Games: Rifts, World of Darkness, D&D 3.5, Shock, 1,001 Nights, Alpha Omega, Trail of Cthulhu, MonsterPocalypse, Magic: the Gathering, Dust, Universal Fighting System, Last Night on Earth, Anima: Beyond Fantasy
