TempleCon

Well, Mark, Charlie, Rena and myself went to TempleCon this weekend and had a good time.

I played in the first Midnight Madness Tournament, Blood, Sweat and Tiers, with a tier 4 35 point Deneghra List.  I beat Ashlynn, barely, in the first round and then lost to Mortenbra in the second and after being up for 25 straight hours, I stepped out of the tournament and went to be

Saturday Mark and I played a 100 point, Circle vs Mercenary game.  Mark used Baldur and Cassius, while I used Fiona and MacBain.  Mercs won that game after taking out Baldur and Cassius was going to be attacked by Fiona herself the next turn.  Though it took about 5 hours to play, it was real fun.

Later that night both Mark and myself played in the second Midnight Madness tournament, Death Race 2.  Mark fielded Gorten's themed list and I used Magnus the Traitor's themed list.  First round, I got shredder spammed by Epic Thagrosh, while Mark won his game.  Second Round, Epic Vlad and a full cavalry unit crushed me, Mark however won again.  Third round, I managed to use Magnus's feat to get my mule to engage non-epic Lylyth.  Then on my next turn my mule moved over so that an Iron Aggresion Renegade charged her and got a criticial Shred hit on her and with it's Sustained Attack, my opponent accepted defeat, so that was one win for me.  Mark, however, lost his match and his last match as well.  I however won my second match, barely, after I was chasing non-epic Deneghra around a house that was in the middle of the board.  I was done to three hit points on my turn and Magnus cfhanneled a spell through a Renegade into Deneghra's back arc and with his back stab ability he got an extra damage die which managed to finish her off, which was good because I almost ran out of time.  Of course, Mark decided, since his game was over, to come over and watch my game and try to curse me too.  That man has the EVIL EYE but luckly I manage to still pull out a win.

During the Death Race tournament, the organizers were giving out challenges and the first person to complete the challenges each game would get a prize.  So second game. Kell Bailoch stands still for his aiming bonus and manages to roll SNAKE EYES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Yes that was how good I was rolling during the games but I did win myself a pair of black Privateer Press dice.
