Warhammer Fantasy Campaign WINTER!!!
WHFB Campaign WINTER 2010
Where: Greenfield Games
When: Sundays @ 2pm (Starting January 10th (01-10-10)
Why: To encourage more Warhammer Fantasy gaming!
Scoring: We are going to keep score by building a map using the mighty empires tiles. Each team when they enter the game gets to attach their six tiles to the map (along with flags!). How many flags you own represents how well you are doing in the campaign.
Match Making: My scheme for match making is a little complicated, but bear with me. Each week your team create a list with the names of all of the teams in the campaign. If you played a team in the previous week you'll put their names at the bottom of the list. You then list everybody else in order of who you would like to play. Each player will get up to two match ups a week. Starting with the team that has the least number of territories we'll make match ups based on their list. So the team with the least territories automatically gets their first two choices. This will continue until each player has two match ups.
Playing the games: Players can play any point total game that they agree upon. It is highly encouraged that players try to make time for at least one of their match ups each week. However, only the drawn matches should be counted towards the campaign each week.
CRAZY NEW WINTER RULES:
- Having more Cities than your opponent allows you to choose one of the other scenarios (pp 249-251 in the Big Red ruleBook)
- Having more Mines than your opponent allows you to add +1 to your roll in choosing of board edges upon which to begin deployment.
- Having more Castles than your opponent allows you to add or subtract one from a d6 die roll to randomly determine a Special Feature for the table top (pp 100-101 in the BRB). Both opponents must, of course agree to using the special features.
What happens when you win: When a player wins a match they get to take one of their opponents territories. The losing players flag is removed and replaced by the flag of the winner. On a draw there is no change in ownership.
How the campaign will be completed: After 8 weeks or after a team is eliminated from the map we will reset the map. The team with the most territory when a map reset occurs will be the victor!
The not so popular stuff: Models should be fully assembled or best effort (no torso-less pairs of legs marching up the battlefield). Painted is a plus, but not required. Proxies are strictly out, but conversions and reasonable 'counts as' are fine.
If you are interested post in this thread with which army you'll be bringing and show up on Sunday January 10th to pick teams and place tiles & flags. People are welcome to join afterwards, you'll be added to an existing team or if you bring a friend you can make a whole new team.

Mat,
Not sure if you read the forums, but my Empire would like to join forces with your Empire, and clear the filthy rabble from Norsca and the Northern Wastes to the Fortress of Dawn! Too bad there aren't any Tomb King players. I'd like to break their bones too.
