Wow...new goodness coming out from Gencon already!

It should be noted those are UPGRADE kits...not full jack models.  Meaning you can add the bits to a plastic jack kit and poof!...you get a character jack!

Also, for anyone playing Trollbloods:  Gunnbjorn the new warlock is AMAZING.  Especially if you have lots of ranged attacks.  Cygnar eat your heart out...no I'm not kidding.

The jack upgrade kits are on sale at the Privateer Press online store.  Don't know if it is a limited time only.  This also brings up the question that since they are available on the online store are they going to tournament legal?

Charlie any word on if the upgrade kits are going to be the only way to get the new character jacks or will they be able to be bought as a whole model?

Word is that these jacks have affinity with a warcaster.  I heard Reznik may be the caster for the Protectorate warjack.  Also these jacks are supposed to have a rule on their cards that allows them to be on certain themed lists most likely the warcaster that they have the affinity with.

But I am a little disappointed that there is still no character mercenary warjack but these are upgrade kits for the plastic models so there is still hope.

Yes, each one DOES have an affinity.  And you can take them in theme lists. 

Who gets what: Reznik gets the menoth jack of course.  I think Strakov gets the khador jack.  Rahn gets the retribution jack.  Seige gets the Defender with shield.  Not sure about the cryx jack.

As for tournament legal, you can only use them if they are officially released (i.e. using the PP release date).  So technically gencon models can't be used yet...

Two more juicy words for everyone to ponder:  WAR ENGINES.
