A topic on RPG.net asked about podcasts of people actually playing RPGs. The following was the answer - that I thought people here might be interested in checking out:

The leader in RPG actual play recordings has to be RPGmp3.com -- you've got Rolemaster, Call of Cthulhu, Pirates of the Spanish Main, Traveller, Warhammer Fantasy Role-Playing, My Life with Master, Classroom Deathmatch, AD&D, 3.5, 4e, and more. And then even more if you become a patron. On top of that, after the first two or three years the sound quality goes way up.

Then there's Yog-Sothoth.com -- primarily a Call of Cthulhu site, featuring actual play recordings of the entire campaigns Masks of Nyarlathotep and Horror on the Orient Express, as well as shorter adventures and a few other systems here and there (patron recently got two sessions of Ars Magica, there's some Victoriana in there, Trail of Cthulhu, and more.)

The Rolemonkeys seem to have gone by the wayside, but they had a few good actual play recordings of games like Piledrivers and Powerbombs and Godsend Agenda, amongst others. Sound quality isn't as impressive as the later offerings from the first two sites, but certainly stacks up against their earlier recordings.

I've listened a little of this kind of thing and it can be pretty fun. I know that Tim used to record his RPG settings and his little sister really enjoyed listening to them.

Anyway, some of you might find these funny, inspiration or otherwise entertaining.

I like to think of the gaming table like Vegas; "What happens at the gaming table stays at the gaming table." Bad jokes, silly anecdotes, and bad taste run rampant (and I wouldn't want it any other way ;)).

However, maybe I'll check out a few of those Call of Cthulhu sessions. I imagine that people really stay on task when they know that they are being recorded.
