wii is more sporty games
and 360 is alot more blow the crap out of every thing games
and for me i play sports outside with friends ... but i don't go around blowing up covenant, slicing medieval gaurds and shooting down enemys.
so thats where the 360 comes in. plus the 360 graphics combined with a hd tv are just :shock: amazing. i think the ps3 is a nice system but the 360 has just as good graphics, is better online, awesome games and also is alot more affordable.

personally I don't think the wii can be compaired to the 360 and PS3. It's not ment to do the same things as the other 2, which is why they did not update the graphics on the wii. The games for it are made solely to utilize the wii-mote, and in that sence, they are great. Story-line and game play is only good on some. I agree with Griff on the games that he said were good, but I also think that Red Steel (fun game, anti-climatic ending, good multiplayer), COD 3, and Marvel UA are fun. Playing SoCal Legends right now, not sure if I like it yet. But yeah, I try not to compair it to other next gen consoles. Between the other 2, I vote for the 360; which I did. The PS3 Just makes me wanna hurt myself.

I have all three (because I hate money). So far the 360 gets used about 10 times as much as the PS3 and Wii combined.
First off there are the games. The 360 has more games that appeal to me. Games like Mass Effect, Dead Rising, Rainbow 6 Vegas, Call of Duty 4, etc. Generally if there is a game coming out that I want to play it is most likely to be coming out on the 360.
The Wii has a few gems RE4 Remake (amazing game, but essentially the same as the ps2 version), Zelda, Metriod, Strikers, and Mario Galaxy. These are great games, but the rest is Crap. Utter Crap. Soon there will be Smash Bros which will get me playing the Wii again. There are no [i]ok[/i] games on the Wii, you get an amazing experience, or you get Crap. Mark my words, 90% of the games released for the Wii right now will be $10 or less used next year.
The PS3 is a fine piece of hardware. I love it. The only bad thing about it is that I bought the 360 first so the majority of games that I would have enjoyed playing on the PS3 I already own and played on the 360. I only own three games for the PS3 Heavenly Sword (Amazing visuals, great writing/acting, decent game play, a solid buy in my opinion), Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and Warhawk. The rest of the games on the platform I might have played I already own for the 360. My next PS3 purchase will be time crisis. The hardware is just plain slick and just feels more reliable than the 360.
Next up there is multiplayer. The 360 has xbox live. It is a matchmaking / online community thing. While it has some serious issues stemming from the fact that on the internet every one is a dick, it is still the best online gaming service. What makes it the best? It usually just works, it is simple, and it mostly works the same over all of the games with online support. It lacks a lot of options that I came to expect on the computer, but they are getting better (Call of Duty 4 is very close to being perfect). Just about all of my friends play online games on their 360, so this is a big bonus for the 360. When you buy your first multiplayer game just suck it up and buy a year of live.
The PS3 has no unified online structure. Each game handles multiplayer in its own way. Which means that each game is free to screw it up however it likes since there is no base line that they have to conform to. The one online multiplayer game I own, Warhawk, is fun but the match finding system is horribly broken. Once you're in the game everything smooth and buttery, but getting in the game is a road of sadness. Sony is supposed to release its competitor to xbox live this year, but unless the PS3 starts getting tons really awesome releases I don't think it is going to matter to me at all. The PS3 has COD4, but apparently the multiplayer has bugs that aren't in the PC or 360 versions.
The wii has two online games. Pokemon and Strikers. I've been told that Strikers is pretty awesome, and I'm sure it is. The Wii pokemon game is only for die hard fans. That's it for games. You can do a whole lot of stuff with the internet, like browse these forums, but that is about it.
So for me it is the 360 by a land slide. The PS3 could be awesome, it is the right price now, has great features, slick and reliable, but doesn't have the games. The next year will determine if I really regret not scalping my Wii online this Christmas. My ranking for most worth my money it would be 360 > DS > PS3 > Wii.

I have all three (because I hate money). So far the 360 gets used about 10 times as much as the PS3 and Wii combined.
First off there are the games. The 360 has more games that appeal to me. Games like Mass Effect, Dead Rising, Rainbow 6 Vegas, Call of Duty 4, etc. Generally if there is a game coming out that I want to play it is most likely to be coming out on the 360.
The Wii has a few gems RE4 Remake (amazing game, but essentially the same as the ps2 version), Zelda, Metriod, Strikers, and Mario Galaxy. These are great games, but the rest is Crap. Utter Crap. Soon there will be Smash Bros which will get me playing the Wii again. There are no [i]ok[/i] games on the Wii, you get an amazing experience, or you get Crap. Mark my words, 90% of the games released for the Wii right now will be $10 or less used next year.
The PS3 is a fine piece of hardware. I love it. The only bad thing about it is that I bought the 360 first so the majority of games that I would have enjoyed playing on the PS3 I already own and played on the 360. I only own three games for the PS3 Heavenly Sword (Amazing visuals, great writing/acting, decent game play, a solid buy in my opinion), Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and Warhawk. The rest of the games on the platform I might have played I already own for the 360. My next PS3 purchase will be time crisis. The hardware is just plain slick and just feels more reliable than the 360.
Next up there is multiplayer. The 360 has xbox live. It is a matchmaking / online community thing. While it has some serious issues stemming from the fact that on the internet every one is a dick, it is still the best online gaming service. What makes it the best? It usually just works, it is simple, and it mostly works the same over all of the games with online support. It lacks a lot of options that I came to expect on the computer, but they are getting better (Call of Duty 4 is very close to being perfect). Just about all of my friends play online games on their 360, so this is a big bonus for the 360. When you buy your first multiplayer game just suck it up and buy a year of live.
The PS3 has no unified online structure. Each game handles multiplayer in its own way. Which means that each game is free to screw it up however it likes since there is no base line that they have to conform to. The one online multiplayer game I own, Warhawk, is fun but the match finding system is horribly broken. Once you're in the game everything smooth and buttery, but getting in the game is a road of sadness. Sony is supposed to release its competitor to xbox live this year, but unless the PS3 starts getting tons really awesome releases I don't think it is going to matter to me at all. The PS3 has COD4, but apparently the multiplayer has bugs that aren't in the PC or 360 versions.
The wii has two online games. Pokemon and Strikers. I've been told that Strikers is pretty awesome, and I'm sure it is. The Wii pokemon game is only for die hard fans. That's it for games. You can do a whole lot of stuff with the internet, like browse these forums, but that is about it.
So for me it is the 360 by a land slide. The PS3 could be awesome, it is the right price now, has great features, slick and reliable, but doesn't have the games. The next year will determine if I really regret not scalping my Wii online this Christmas. My ranking for most worth my money it would be 360 > DS > PS3 > Wii.
Make a list of all of the game that you like for each of the platforms, include games supposedly coming out in the next year. Place those lists side by side and see which one is most compelling (all of the consoles are within $100 now which is pretty nice).
