Sid & Marty Krofft Interview (Land of the Lost)

Okay, there's no real game tie-in here, but I just thought that this was a fun interview and I wanted to share. Read on...

Some of you may have seen the previews for the upcoming Will Farrell movie "Land of the Lost." The younger ones of you may not be aware that this is based on a kids TV show from the 70's. It was a wacky show about a family stranded... somewhere.... where dinosaurs, lizard people and monkey people live. I loved it. REALLY loved it. Sadly, watching it now is a little painful because it was awful in terms of production values but there were other elements of it that were pretty amazing. The SF elements in particular. I always wanted to know more about the Sleestak (lizard people) but the show only gave you bits and pieces about them. Most of them were just inscrutably evil. There was one that wouldl periodically help the family and was clearly more intelligent than the others. Anyway, I'm starting to ramble because I'm thinking more than I'm writing.

The point here is that this interview is really interesting. You get some neat tidbits about where it all came from as well as a little about one of the other shows (HR Puffnstuff). I'd really forgotten about how much entertainment Sid & Marty gave me growing up. They were really household names back then. Although I'm not a huge Will Farrell fan I am excited about this movie.
