I'm going to have to blame this one on Kassidy, too. He, Boston and David H. are a triumverate CCG necromancy-power. If the three of them ever get togther to play the same "game that no one else is playing" I may consider buying more stock in the Survivor CCG.

Game necromancer that I am, I'm trying to set up Mondays as official UFS game days. If you have a deck or would like to make one, or just get in a demo game or two, I should be around in the afternoon. I have three decks constructed already, and plenty of cards that I'd be happy to let people use temporarily. The store will have a Street Fighter booster box open for booster buying, as well as starter decks for the latest set, Fantasy Flight's original 'ShadoWar' setting.

All right, folks, it's Hammer Monday! If you have a deck, come in and play. If you don't, either build one or buy one! GOGOGOGOGO!

Hammer Monday has been switched to Hammer Wednesday, though if we have enough players in here, impromptu tournaments can happen just about any time. If you're not into the idea of sitting down for a long time and playing round after round of the game, it's easy enough to get in a quick game with any one of the 10+ players that we have. Most of us are also quite happy to let you use a deck for a practice game, if you're unfamiliar with the system.

In purchasing news, the game continues to sell out! Those of us who play just keep gobbling it up! We had 3 booster boxes in here for the last order. They only lasted for a few hours. For the next order, we'll have Street Fighter starter decks, Street Fighter boosters from four different sets, SNK boosters from two sets and Fantasy Flight's own 'ShadoWar' setting.

Hooray for Hammer Wednesday! So does this mean Greenfield Games is now an "official UFS tournament persons thingy"?

As of yet, no. However, I bet that if we give new players a chance to buy a few cards and get decks together, we could totally run supported events.

I love that this game has succesfully been resurrected, but there needs to be more soul calibur in the store.  I play soul calibur only decks, so lets get it in stock and in mass quantities!!!!!!

Someone taught me to play today. (Didn't catch your name, but thanks.)

After only getting swept in Magic today I figure I can't do any worse in other games, so I might stop in next week.

Well, they are leaving CCGs in favor of their new LCG format. Which is actually pretty cool.

Lets say, hypothetically, I have no idea what LCG involves. (Hypotheticaly) Care to elaborate?

LCGs are Living Card Games. You know exactly what you're getting when you buy the core set and packs of additional cards. There's no random element, no rarity. You get precisely what you want. Unfortunately, I've heard that you pay more money trying to get the super-cool cards for an uber-deck of LCG stuff than you do buying individual cards for a CCG deck.
