Free RPG Day 2009!
This Saturday the 20th is the 3rd annual national Free RPG Day and like past years there are tons of great free role playing supplements to be given away! Plus we have several volunteers running aventures for your entertainment:
At 1pm:
Chris will be running "Kidnapped in Hollow Earth," a pulp fiction type adventure filled with Nazis, dinosaurs and lost civilzations!
Also Jay has eagerly agreed to run an adventure from the not-even-released-yet new setting for Dark Heresy: Rogue Trader. You're a privateering merchant prince, empowered to seek out profit & plunder amongst the unexplored regions of space, outside the Imperium's grasp. Great riches are there to be made...or lost to the warp.
At 4pm:
Kassidy has gotten his hands on an adventure from White Wolf Press' newest Storytelling game: Geist: The Sin Eaters which goes on sale in August. Prepare yourself for "The Return of Mr. Monster." I'm sure your second chance at life will be more dark and morally uncertain than the previous!!!
I'll be running Paranoia, wherein lucky troubleshooters will avail themselves of the opportunity to explore every nook and cranny of Alpha Complex's lovely sewer system. You will enjoy every minute. Our friend, the Computer, says so.
Sign up to save yourself a seat as soon as you can, because space is limited. As of this posting, Kassidy only has one seat left.

The published Rogue Trader adventure originally only had three different characters (which could be duplicated if you wanted more than three players. Luckily, FFG decided at the last minute to add two more. So now there are a total of five classes to choose from.
After reading over the adventure I am excited by the prospect of Rogue Trader. I see it as sort of a cross between Star Trek and Traveller. Or, to put it in another context...
Imagine that you're playing in your standard D&D game. Your DM tells you that your first level characters own a castle... and have a full staff of people who run it... and it has giant cannons on its walls... and it can fly through space to other planets!
