Hi Guy's,

Been looking at the Flames of War line and am interested in doing an army but haven't been able to find anyone near me who plays, just Warhammer 40K and so was wondering if anyone here knows of a listing for FoW gaming groups in S. California especially around Riverside county; I am in Hemet.
Thanks.

Sorry, I can't help you there.

But, what I'd suggest is going to the FoW website and check out the forums there. I'm sure you could find something....

Here's the main site: http://www.flamesofwar.com/

From there, the forums or clubs link should be the most helpful.

Here's a link to the opponent finder threads from a Southern CA player: http://fow.flamesofwar.com/viewtopic.php?t=35970

Hope that helps. If not, move out here to Western MA, and play us!!!!

Strangely, I find myself to be in California as well.

Still, I'm nowhere near Hemet. I'm in LA. I do have my FoW army with me but I'm holding out until the new rulebook comes in to play.

Hey wait, isn't the new rulebook available now?

I have a friend of mine that recently introduced me to Poor Bloddy Infantry, which is another 15mm WWII game. It plays more like a board game though. On the plus side you can play through a game in a couple of hours.

July. The mini version rulebook will be shipped with our order of the new Ostfront and Afrika compilations.

(edit: And I must say Battlefront has been one of the most refreshingly clear and informative manufacturers with which I've worked. They make it a point to be doubly clear to brick & mortar retailers about their schedule and how to best work with it. As well as active and diligent anti-'online discounter' activity.)

(edit #2: The big full hardcover version of the rules releases August 3rd.)

I don't think so. I believe that I left it there. I don't have any of the FoW books with me even though I meant to bring along my American books.
