I had a dream last night that I was David Letterman. For some reason, there were several people dressed in medieval armor on the show (full plate mail), and I made a mean comment about them.

The camera panned over to the knights as one knight stepped forward and challenged me for the remark. As the camera panned back to me/Dave, I was suddenly clad in full plate and holding a sword and shield.

After a couple of swings it was apparent I was going to lose.

But cheers of encouragement arose from the crowd. Dave looked to them and with a mighty gleam in his eye, turned back to his opponent. With a flourish, he tossed his sword in the air with a spin and deftly caught it again.

The fight was on...for real this time.

With a speed of ten fast men I lept upon my opponent and fought like a madman!  Two armored behemoths swung and parried over and over. There was a mighty clash of steel on steel!

The dishonored knight was sorely pressed and was pushed back farther and farther up the stage. Eventually he tripped upon one of the electrical cords for Paul Shaffer's band's instruments.

The knight lay upon the floor...defeated. A howl of glory arose from Dave's helm and the crowd joined in....

(Sadly this was the end of the dream as I was awakened by my wife who had freaked out because a giant ant had crawled on her...for real.)

Hehe.... nice.  My dreams tend to be pretty weird, but I've never been Sir David Letterman before.
