Campaign FALL 2009

Where: Greenfield Games

When: Sundays @ 2pm (Starting Nov 1st)

Why: To encourage more Warhammer Fantasy gaming!

Scoring: We are going to keep score by building a map using the mighty empires tiles. Each team when they enter the game gets to attach their six tiles to the map (along with flags!). How many flags you own represents how well you are doing in the campaign.

Match Making: My scheme for match making is a little complicated, but bear with me. Each week your team create a list with the names of all of the teams in the campaign. If you played a team in the previous week you'll put their names at the bottom of the list. You then list everybody else in order of who you would like to play. Each player will get up to two match ups a week. Starting with the team that has the least number of territories we'll make match ups based on their list. So the team with the least territories automatically gets their first two choices. This will continue until each player has two match ups.

Playing the games: Players can play any point total game that they agree upon.  It is highly encouraged that players try to make time for at least one of their match ups each week. However, only the drawn matches should be counted towards the campaign each week.

What happens when you win: When a player wins a match they get to take one of their opponents territories. The losing players flag is removed and replaced by the flag of the winner. On a draw there is no change in ownership.

How the campaign will be completed: After 6 weeks or after a team is eliminated from the map we will reset the map. The player with the most territory when a map reset occurs will be the victor!

The not so popular stuff: Models should be fully assembled or best effort (no torsoless pairs of legs marching up the battlefield). Painted is a plus, but not required. Proxies are strictly out, but conversions and reasonable 'counts as' are fine.

If you are interested post in this thread with which army you'll be bringing and show up on Sunday Nov 1st to pick teams.  People are welcome to join afterwards, you'll be added to an existing team or if you bring a friend you can make a whole new team.  I'll be playing with Vampires and all of the ghouls.

Oy! I'm in!

I just can't decide what army!!!!!

The Warriors are nice, but I'm getting a little tired of looking at them.

Empire's gotten pretty dusty, but I hate all that leadership 7 floating in a sea of Immunity.

Then there's those sweet, sweet Daemons. Maybe if I promised to not cheese out too much :D :D :D

Oh! I don't know!

It will be nice to see folks playing WH Fantasy again, I'll even bust out the ol' green chariot brigade for a few spins around the table.

It is very dark... You are likely to be eaten by a Grue.

Peter signed up here in the store with his Bolt Throwers and their Elf allies.

And the new fellow from Eastern Mass with his mighty Ork horde is interested.

Ten people signed up so far, including THREE Ork players and only three traditionally "good" guys, Bwa Haha HAha!

I have two players unable to make it Sunday due to work and such, so we'll want to have a plan via teammate or something for allowing them in on the start up.

Simon's looking to start up Wood Elves but thinks he won't be ready for this round.

Rumors from the front:

My spies report that a horde of Warriors were smashed by the unstoppable force brought to bear by Teclis and his High Elf army.

Disturbing rumors suggest that an empire settlement was overrun by deamons cutting off settlements on the coast.  Woe to those who live on the coast of blood.

Second Week Match ups:

Black -- Red, Green

Gold -- Green, blue

Red -- Blue

Rumors from the front:

Orcs were forced to flee to safety by a mighty Star Dragon.  The orcish host was turned back by claws, teeth, and fire.

The picked over remains of a Khorne warrior host was discovered in the country side surrounding the keep of the Blood Coast.

THIS IS A THE LAST WEEK OF THE FALL 2009 CAMPAIGN!

And it's a free-for-all this week. Play any opponent you want, any number of games!!! Seeing as attendance is so mixed up with the holiday hoopla, no sense in not letting people get in one or two last fights.

There's another thread started if anyone has new ideas and input for the next campaign.

I'll be around this weekend if anyone dares face the high elves of doom!

So, the Unbreakables of me and Eric have squashed all who tried to break us, except those who did break us, but those were few and far between! Bwa ahahahahahhahhhaha!!!

On to the Winter Campaign. As I can see no reason to change things much, we won't...probably. We might add somthing for holding cities/mines/farms, but you'll have to go look at the proper announcement thread for that.
