Got a great idea for a Friday night battle? Put it here. Anything is ok. Heck we had free AT-AT's, what could be worse?
150pts, 1 free fringe huge
*shrug*

150 points and nothing can be worth more than 35 points.
How about 200 points, normal build rules, Gambit game where each player must bring at least 1 huge figure from Bounty Hunters. That way folks could try out all their shiney new BH figures!

Time to decide on something suitable for my Skiff to fly around.
200 points Clones versus Droids... Build a Team with Standard Rules with Gambit, Except your Team can consist only of Clones or Droids...

I like that one! Might need to go lower in points to accomodate smaller collections.
I don't know I can easily field 200 pts of droids or clones, There are quite a few large point pieces for droids, and with the clones from COTF it's really not that hard to field Clones... if you have one of each of those new ones thats 159 pts of clones. There's 273 pts worth of droids in the BH set alone.
King of the Hill
200pts.
Center point of the map is considered the "hill". The purpose is to be the team to control it by the end of the match (skirmishes will probably have to be a bit shorter), or simply kill off the opposing army.
The mission is to get adjecent to the center and hold it for the game. If two opposing units are adjecent, nobody is considered to hold the "hill". Maps like the plaza which have a statue as the center point will simply require you to be adjecent to the statue.
What makes this scenario different from other games is that, the opposing team could have killed all your guys but one stormtrooper who is still in control of the "hill". If the stormtrooper is still in control of the "hill" when the timer goes off, that person wins. In other words, points for killing is pretty much negated when the other team controls the hill.
If nobody is in control of the "hill" when the timer goes off, the person who has the most points from kills/center points is considered the winner.
You only gain center points if you are currently in control of the "hill". Center points bumped up to 10 per round instead of 5 to make getting the center more worthwhile.

Ok two things... It's been pointed out that my clones versus droids has a distinct advantage to clones, namely Super Stealth.
That being said I like the King of the Hill scenario, maybe change the "Statue" from a solid wall to low cover...

That'll work, make it so the maps are more evened out for the purpose of holding the hill.
Everyone brings two 150 point armies. The first is a faction legal (1 faction + Fringe) army where every character must have a Force rating. The second, also faction legal, must contain only characters without a Force rating.
Skirmish Battles
1) 150 points, normal build rules except no character can be over 35 points.
or
2) 150 points, no more than 1 unique allowed.
or
3) 150 points, each army must include at least 6 characters.
150 pts. No uniques! Standard build Rules
Darth Vader has returned to Coruscant after the destruction of the first Death Star. Darth Vader and Prince Xizor are waiting in Emperor Palpatine's private office.
The door to the Emperor's private chambers slides open, and in glides the Emperor. "You can leave us," the Emperor says to his Imperial Guardsmen.
"My Lord, the Rebels have left Yavin IV. They abandoned their base and have scattered to the winds," says Vader.
"I don't want to hear about your failures, Lord Vader! I want the Rebels destroyed!" says Palpatine. Xizor smirks...

SO here's the deal, 150 pt build, faction pure. Build 3 teams, 1 Imperial, 1 Black Sun (Fringe), and 1 Rebel. Come game time, roll for team choice, winner gets to choose whether he wants to pick his team first or second. First person chooses his team, then the second chooses from the other two factions!
Imperial Goals: Defeat the Rebels before Black Sun;
Black Sun Goals: Defeat the Rebels before the Imperials;
Rebel Goals: Survive Imperial and Black Sun assault.
These ideas are excellent!! This is becoming my favorite thread.
I came across this suggestion on another board http://www.basecontact.com/library/Squad_Registration_sheets.pdf it's a squad registration form, it might cut down on the people playing teams that are over the designated point cost.

Heh, I was just reading about Xizor and his history just a few moments ago.
Quick question, what if one guy chooses Imperial, and the other chooses Black Sun? What will be the objectives then? Or will there be 3 players  ? If so,
Can Black Sun attack Imperial and vice versa,
And if the timer goes off and there is 1 rebel trooper left, does that mean rebels win?
Do you determine who won the "race" between the Black Sun and Imperials by who got the final Rebel kill?

With the rivalry between Vader and Xizor, there is absolutely no reason why the Imperial and Black Sun wouldn't attack each other if there was an opportunity. For more info about Xizor's hatred of Vader, read Xizor's history: http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/princexizor/index.html
Actually, I was only thinking of a two person game, and if Black Sun and Imperials were chosen, then they would fight, each trying to stop the other from "getting to the rebels" first.
I was just thinking standard Tournament rules on winning, High points or totally annihilation of the opposing team.
I was thinking make my Rebel Hunt idea a 200 point build
200 points No Commanders
200 pt original trilogy (Ep. IV -VI) themed
A) No printed damage value higher than 10 (or 20).
B ) All your characters must have the same ability printed on their card. This could be as simple as an entire army of Unique or Melee guys or as obtuse as an army of Recon characters. Whatever you pick, everyone has to have it printed on the card.
C) Era play. Everyone brings teams from a specific era. The easiest are Rebel/Imperial and Republic/Separatist but we could also try smaller (100 points) games with Old Republic/Sith or New Republic/Imperial(/Vong).

I like this Option... Many possibilities... 200 pts?
200 pt. No uniques
Relaying an idea Bubba came up with.
200pts, all characters must at have the Savage ability.
A) No printed damage value higher than 10 (or 20).

That I like, 10 damage printed... Jedi Sentiels and Gundarks :D
I liked Bubba's idea of All Savage, Quinlan Vos does not count as he doesn't start the game with Savage...

Sentinels, Nexus, Abyssin Black Sun Thugs, Bith Black Sun Vigos, Rodian Black Sun Vigos...
Xizor, Ay Vidda, Dannik, Dark Jedi, Coruscant Guards, Yoda of Dagobah/C-3PO/R2-D2, Emperor Palpatine, and Mara Jade all do printed damage of 10 or 0.

One of the SWM boards has a thread where a poster is putting up various squad ideas just to see what people can come up with. Could probably steal one of those whenever he comes up with something interesting.
