Well technically the "NEXT thursday" would be the thursday of THIS week wouldn't it? I mean its "next" right? Thursday the 30th is AFTER next thursday, it doesn't happen before, i.e its not next, this thursday is next THEN the 30th thursday will happen 1 week afterwards....Right?

Oh, I'm so confused....

Did anybody take pictures?

Can you give me some idea of specific details? How many people showed up? How quickly was the food devoured? Was fun had by all, or merely some?

I was amazed at how many people showed up for the event. I figured it would be about as crowded as a friday evening or a saturday afternoon, but there were many many more people than that. It was great to see such a big showing.

The demo system seemed to run pretty smoothly and the demos that I tried were fun and well done.

The pizza was devoured astonishingly fast, but there seemed to be enough to go around. It would appear that there was just enough cake, the last piece went right as the store was closing.

The whole thing seemed like a great sucess from an attendees perspective. Everybody seemed to have fun.

I think Joe took some pictures, maybe he'll post them in this thread.

I'm not sure how the impact was on sales compares to the cost, but doing a lower key demo night or demo day every couple of months might not be a bad idea.

Yup, next Anniversary's definitely about a year away, give or take.

Lots of people! Oh my gawd! The Party size pizzas got inhaled fast!!! The initial order of two went in seconds, the second wave went in minutes! Then the big sheet cake disappeared! It was awesome! From what I saw everyone had a really good time. Not nearly the mixed bag that some events can be.

We had one tearful moment when one little tyker didn't win the cool Gargatuan Dragon [u]or[/u] the Warhammer Starter Set....but he's practiced at crying. :twisted:

It was by far one of our best attended events yet, and very rewarding and enjoyed.

THANK YOU ALL again for your attendance last night, patronage and friendship for these first six years!!!!!!

Friday...well I could easily close my store an hour early on friday...

I could go if it was friday (although I haven't been in store all month!!!!!!!!). What is the day of the actual aniversary, just for curiocities sake.

It's THURSDAY not FRIDAY.

The actual Anniversary was the day after Thanksgiving in 1999. This is NOT a good day to have an anniversary party.

I know that Thursday is kinda weird... but Fridays are just too dang busy with other stuff.

Hehe, perhaps earlier in the day might be good for a game. Thursday evening, if it's anything like last year, will simply be impossible. We use nearly all the tables for game demos and food. It was practically standing room only. :D

Aww, I wish I could show up earlier. Oh well, I am still looking forward to coming up and hanging out!
