November Painting Contest!
The Next Big Painting Contest!!!
November 15th-22nd
Only $2 to enter!
How it works: On Sunday, November 15th, anytime between Noon and 3pm, bring your unpainted model (it can be not yet assembled), and have it checked in with Andy, Bubba or whomever is working
Prizes for First and Second will be awarded on Sunday afternoon, the 22nd.
Another important note: You model must not have any loose parts, wet paint or even slightly uncured glue. Our display case does not take well to damage from cyanocrylate gasses (you know, the thing that damages my game table surfaces when you put a mostly dry model on it) or scratches from toppled parts.
We would also like to hold on to and show off all submissions for one week after the awards. After the 29th, you can come and get them.
Well some bad news and a plea...
It would seem I have contracted Bacon Lung (aka H1N1). I have to say its more of an annoyance than misery, but either way I've been staying in bed to try to beat the damn thing before Sunday for the MonPoc Tourney.
So my plea is simple:
Could you guys move my $2 entry fee to the NEXT painting contest? As it is I really don't have any ability to paint...
Sure thing, pork dude.
A good batch of entries this time around!
The votes are all tallied up!
Frank won First with his High Elf Spellsinger! Very nice paint job on that one. Winning a $10 gift card
Second went to Andy with his big Chaos Hero. He gets a $6 gift card
Honorable Mention goes to Mat with his great Master Engineer tiny diorama
In the employees/family group there was an even split for first between Jay and Seth! (I think the candy canes and santa hat scored me the needed votes to catch you!)
Congratulations to all those who participated! We'd like to hold on to your models for this week so the anniversary crowds can see them, then you can come pick them up.
Next one's in December. Start thinking about who you'ld like to get painted. Perhaps a few tiny dragon ogre reindeer or a present-shooting Hellblaster!

I got my Winter Troll started today. Assembled him, filled gaps, worked on seams. Tomorrow I'm going to get him on his base and get the primer going. If all goes well I'll be getting the first coat of paint on it.
