Rumor has it Barts is moving into the storefront that used to be Michael's, Bogie's, The Coffee Club, etc. Seems awful big for an Ice Cream parlor. Maybe cheap burgers and stuff??? I hope. But they'll probably go with more wholesome (read: Happy Valley Approved) sandwiches (bleh!)

Either way, if it's Barts, I may as well just buy a bigger belt now. :(

Tis true my friend.

Bart's Cafe, which currently has a projected opening time frame of the end of March will be taking over the vacant location formerly Michael's.

Beyond just the Bart's/Snow's Ice Cream they will be offering breakfast foods, pastries, bagels, and lunch-time foods as well.

Those who have lived in the area for some time may remember they used to have a small little parlor over on School Street right next to Pete's Seafood. They still manufacture the ice cream at this location, but about 25 years ago closed. I actually remember as a young child going in there and having ice cream. Probably one of my earliest memories.

The owner of this new establishment also owns the Cushman Market and Cafe down in Amherst.

Seems to be well underway now.
