FREE RPG DAY Events
So, if you've read the front page of the site, you know that we're participating in FREE RPG DAY. This thing is mainly about coming in and getting free loot, but we thought it would be a good day to run some roleplaying events as well. So we've enlisted some help and we'll be running a variety of roleplaying sessions over the course of the day.
I will personally be running Warhammer fantasy roleplay. But rather than having a typical "short run through the dungeon" adventure I thought that I'd do something that would give people a chance to get to know the game system fairly quickly then jump out again if they don't feel like hanging around for hours. So, I think that I'll be running an ongoing Pit Fighter event. That is, you'll be able to come in, grab a character and compete for honor and glory in the arena.
I'll be spicing it up a bit to keep it from being just endless dice rolling. I'll make sure that there's some real roleplaying going on (it is FREE RPG DAY after all) but people will be able to just jump in for a short time and then move on to something else if they like.
As we nail down what the other events are going to be we'll post them here.

Dave ~ 2pm ~ World of Darkness in Salt Lake City
Jody ~ ??? ~ maybe Changeling or something, we'll see!
Overlap of adventure times is entirely possible, average 4-6 players for event unless otherwise noted, first come-first seated, schedule subject to change without warning, like Sandra Bullock high on Sucralose behind the wheel of an unexploded bus--Watch OUT!!!
The Pig, The Witch and her Lover..
It's actually a cool little investigative adventure and I'm really looking forward to it.

Since I missed out on running this adventure due to last-minute store business, I'm going to be running it THIS SUNDAY (I believe that is July 1st).
There are seven slots available. The game starts at 1pm SHARP and should take no longer than 3 hours (depending on time spent roleplaying, etc.).
You will be playing a noble and his/her retinue traveling to a village at the request of the village priest to investigate a disappearance. High on roleplaying, low on combat (though some combat should occur).
Is there any slots open for that dungeon crawl classic that Seth is running? OR any of the D&D kind of games? I'm part of a 2.0 D7D campaign but i was looking to try something new.
Seth ended up doing an XCrawl adventure last Saturday.

Alex has been pouring over options of what to run and there are adventures in here that I think Dave (Changeling!!! :o ) and Jay might get inspired by (WFRP, Jay, :D unless you're set on Pit Fight Extraordinaire!)
