Epic Armageddon
A few other New Englanders and I are trying to get together for some Epic Armageddon games. GGs is about the same distance from all of us, we were wondering if the store had some tables open on the weekends in the early afternoon?
Also, if people are interested, we could bring some extra armies if anyone wanted to learn to play. EA's a great game, it's to 40k as chess is to checkers, the rules are free and there's a very dedicated fan community.
Sunday's are usually pretty quiet as far as total table usage. There are tables open on Sunday's almost all the time. You should be fine though if you came in, especially around opening time (noon) since people don't tend to show up till about 12:30 ish, thats plenty of time to come in and lay claim to a table.
Thanks guys,
We'll try to aim for a Sunday sometime, and if it works out go from there. We'll try to give you a heads up as well.
Thanks.
Well the date in October fell through, but 3 of us will be up this Sunday (11/18) at 12 for a 3K game or two of Epic Armageddon.
We'll bring some buildings and stuff, but do you guys have any other terrain there? Hills ands forests are pretty much what we'd be looking for.
If anyone is interested we can bring an extra army or two as well.
Dave
Ugh...I wish I had weekends off, I'd love to try that.
And yes, the store has plenty of terrain.
Actually GG has quite a few mini 'brick' ruins that were put together for Flames of War...they'd probably work pretty decent for that scale.
And then there's the various stuff for Mechwarrior...not very detailed but useable.

I'm sure you'ld get some very curious onlookers and likely some very interested in learning.
In general the weekends are, of course, the busiest, especially Friday night.
Saturday afternoon can be pretty hectic. Only one of the big tables is reserved for an RPG group. But the other 3-4 see a bit of use too, on Saturday. Early afternoon or even before noon, of course is better. As is Saturday evening.
Sundays Tim can speak to better, but from what I gather, there would usually be at least one or two tables free.
If you are planning on scheduling your meeting regularly or even just specifically one day, we can make sure space is clear. Otherwise it's hit or miss as to whether space is available.
