I'm not a big beer drinker, but I knew the rules. Nice article though.

Mmmmm...I'm thinking I'll have to bring a brew over for lunch. One of the perks of working for yourself :)

Yeah, there are a couple of them in there like that. For example, it also says that the "rule of thumb" comes from testing the temperature of beer. But, while that may be the beermakers rule of thumb, it's not the one that the term derives from. Nobody seems to know where that originated but the idea that it was the size of the rod you could use to beat your wife with is the most famous.
