Old thread about the winter auction
The Summer Auction is nigh! Silent Auction: July 19th to 25th, Live Auction: July 25th
Here's your opportunity to turn your old games and armies into store credit toward shiny new ones! (May I suggest a box of the brand new Magic M10 Edition!!!
) Bring it all in. From role playing books, board games, CCGs and miniature armies to classic family games, from Chainmail codpieces to X-Box games; we will auction it all for you!
Maybe we'll even see another GIANT THOR HAMMER!!!
This is absolutely your very best chance of the Summer to pick up some great deals on used games and trade in those you got for Bastille Day, but just don't think you'll play again.
Where: Right here in the store, 228 Main Street, right between Country Jeweler and Taylor's Restaurant.
When: Saturday the 25th of July! Starting at 12pm and running about two hours. Note: we run a silent auction all week before the live auction on the 25th. This part starts Sunday the 19th and you can come in and bid on silent auction items all week long.
How: We are accepting items up to the day of the auction. Anything that sells, becomes credit for you to purchase new items. If your stuff doesn't sell, you can just take it back. Anything you win a bid on, can be paid for right then and there. So, be sure to come and join the fun, find some great deals and meet some other great local gamers!
To all you prospective bidders out there, let me mention this is really a buyer's auction! What that means is, contrary to, say EBay, there are generally a very limited number of buyers in attendance. You won't likely have a lot of competition for the things you want. You are going to score some really great deals. So if you want a couple new board games, a big stack of bulk Magic cards or some video game from maybe a system ago, this is an excellent time to get what you need at really great deals.
Please note one new bit of information: All non-selling aution items not picked up within a week of auction closing will become property of the store. Please contact us in advance, if you need to make other arrangements.
ok good time to sell those old necrons!
GIANT THOR HAMMER FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One item of note...
In order to make room for a future Flames of War army I will be selling off my current Flames of War Armored Rifle Company.
That is all...

I might try to get in on this. Might be a good way to unload some of my old video games and the like.

Pssst... If you have Final Fantasy or Chronotrigger, sell it on ebay for big bucks, don't sell it at the Greenfield games auction.

Awesome even, I had alot of fun...and bought alot of stuff! It was great watching Seth and Jay ham it up, it was a great way to spend my afternoon.
You guys have a great community there in Greenfield. I wish I didn't live so far, I can see myself becoming a GG regular. Though I do plan on being there about once a week when the Warhammer 40K campaign commences.
I am still alive, by the way. I think the wife was expecting me to give in to my obsessive nature ;)

How far away do you live?
How far away do you live?
I live in Longmeadow, which is between Enfield and Springfield. Its about 45 minutes.
45 minutes?!? Bah! I was driving an hour weekly!
So you got no problems...become the regular you want to be! :)

Haha yeah I guess the drive really isn't that bad. I enjoyed it today, the scenery is nice once you get past the Springfield/Holyoke Plaguelands.
It's mostly the time. My wife works on the weekends usually, and I can't make it up there during the week by the time I get out of work. The real issue is we have a 2 (almost 3!) year old...and they don't go very well with miniature gaming. Have you ever seen a Godzilla movie? That was rhetorical, I am sure most have. It's not pretty, but most of the time I can convince her not to play with 'Daddy's Toys'.
I usually have my girl while my wife is at work on the weekend. I will be sneaking up as much as possible though. I am hoping to convince my father he should be spending more time his granddaughter...most notably, on Saturday afternoons ;)
If anyone is ever in my neck of the woods, send me a PM and we can get a few games in!
Lol...there ya go.
