What you need bring: A single, small* based, individual unpainted model (on a base & Primed). It can be from Games Workshop or Privateer Press or from any other miniature line of the same scale. And your painting supplies!
Demos: There will be demonstrations/mini battles for various table top miniature games throughout the day right alongside the painting contest.
Fee: FREE!
Prizes: There will be Greenfield Games gift certificates for winners!
*Remember: You need a model that is already based & primed, but without any other paint applied. This model cannot be larger than a basic infantryman. Think Space Marine, or small based Warcaster like Sorscha. Remember, you have to have fun, it’s a rule.
Sign up in the store or post your interest and the model you're thinking of painting here.
Most excellent!
This should be a pretty fun, hang out, goof around AND be productive day.
Hmmm.... what would be a good excuse so I could attend this even though it's my daughters birthday.....
Haha, not happening on my end. It sounds like alot of fun, I hope you all have a great time!
I'm in, but I need some primer. Where can I get some?
you can buy primer at greenfield games
hmmm, very interesting
YAY! fun.
i'll be coming, i hope, and probibly painting vlad? idk mabey Ariana or holt thouth
I'm thinking about bringing a Pulp Atrizan figure.
I'll try to be there. Won't enter the contest but i'd watch.
i'll probably be there. Painting either Haley or Brisbane
heh, so I lied, I won't be there, I'll be in florida.

Hmmm this sounds familiar.

uhhhh....... what?
Ok, things are looking up for me...so I may be able to attend.
Kinda stinks with the small model thing as I got TONS of trolls to paint :)
So here is a question fer ya:
With the terrible weather, its very hard for me to prime anything. So sometimes I will prime white by hand (I got a little pot of primer) then do a black paint basecoat. Is that ok to bring in or will I have to base coat at the store?
I like how this is organized. Is this going to be a regular thing?
If your black base coat looks exactly like a primed coat, I suspect it will pass. Otherwise , it will not.
It could be a regular thing.
Maybe not exactly...but its not like I'm picking out certain spots. I paint the whole dang thing black.
Well if it's all painted black, then it sounds like how I would describe primed. If it's shades of black or more like dry brushed or washed.....
aww...wait...I'm sorry, lapse of sense for a second there.
Correct answer: Primed. No more, no less.
i used 2 different primers on my warcaster. a white base coat and a mettalic coat on the weapons. will that pass?
If it's something you've done to prepare the surface for paint, to get it ready for you to sit down and paint it, you're probably ok. If it feels like your actually applying paint to the model, you might be going too far.
ok. i was just wondering. though i might not make it to the store that day
i may come and if do im gonna be painting a bonejack..... and do u have to have the modle be based?
wait i just read the aquirments and it cant be bigger than a infantry man so could a small bonejack b ok
Just a reminder. The 17th is this Sunday. Get your brushes ready.
If things are slow with Demos and such, I've decided on my model. I'll be painting a Skaven Warlock Engineer.
Skaven....
After I finish my Orks, Trollbloods, Chaos Marines and Orcs & Goblins, I want to make a Skaven army. So fun! There is something in the idea about painting metric tons of lil furry meece I just like.

I'm certainly interested in the event. I would happily participate or run Warmachine/Hordes demos.
