"Im bored."

Not something you hear around here lately around here, unless maybe you're an avid BattleDice player.

The end of 2008 has seen some great revivals and a couple great new games. BattleTech, Warhammer Fantasy and Monsterpocalypse plus some secret VS system playing going on surreptitiously on the back tables.

And now, just when I thought I was going to find some time to focus on some Flames of War and Warmachine, along comes [b][url=http://www.spartangames.co.uk/#/unchartedseas/4529548089]The Uncharted Seas[/url][/b]!!! It's he-e-e-e-ere, and it's very pretty! It makes me feel like the early days of WM. The rulebook is pretty, but not quite as polished as the big boy's books. The figures are very nice looking, but have that "not exactly mass-produced look." The artwork is professional, but a little campy. And [i]strangely[/i] enough the number of special character buxom women with belly shirts is zero. Gasp!

There is no way I am not going to give this a go. My biggest problem so far with this brand new arrival to Greenfield Games' fine shelves is that I can't decide what faction to try first!

Sadly, our first supply of this is insanely limited. Think of it as a test supply. Six of us will be painting up our forces of Orks, Dwarves & Dragon-Elves while the rest get angry at me for not getting their toys in yesterday's delivery. No humans in this shipment. And many of us will be paying rental fee to the four fellows who take possession of the pretty new rulebooks!

Naval miniatures combat has hit Greenfield! Yay!!
