TrueBlack is a tarot purposefully designed for unerring quality and unmatched attention to detail by illustrator and designer Arthur Wang. (above is a photo of his bedroom and stuffed wombat, because he is camera-shy)

Trained in the classic style by traditional oil painting academies, each card is illustrated by hand, with real human models, in his signature style. Every deck is then printed in the United States for the ultimate in production quality.

”From a young age, I was enamored and captivated by the study of the occult. Books of anthropological folklore, paranormal studies, and witchcraft throughout all ages and geographical locations filled my shelves, and from there, the marriage of the occult studies with my design background was an easy connection to make.”

Arthur gained his BFA from the College of Imaging Arts and Sciences at RIT, and subsequently his Master’s degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design.

All designs, illustrations, logistics, photography, and production is handled by Arthur. I am actually writing in the 3rd person right now, and it's a little weird. 

TrueBlack is printed and packed in the Northeastern US, and every deck is painted, wrapped, boxed, and shipped by Arthur and his wife Ellie.
